This newfound passion spurred him to join the prestigious Latin American Academy of Cello in Venezuela, and soon, he claimed positions in two leading symphony orchestras in his hometown.
The mentorship of the acclaimed cellist Maestro William Molina fueled his ambition, and following high school, he ventured across borders to the United States to study music professionally. Awarded a full scholarship at Shenandoah University, Carlos continued to nurture his talent under the guidance of esteemed cellists Clyde Shaw, Vasily Popov, and Julian Schwarz. His career has flourished as he shared stages with distinguished musicians and conductors across the classical and contemporary music genres, including Gustavo Dudamel, Jan Wagner, Patrick Brady, Soo Han and Christopher Zimmerman.
